We hope that you can join us as the Scottish Romanian Society hosts a fun day out in Hazelhead Park on the 1^st of June between 1pm and 6pm. The children are welcomed to play with bouncy castles, take part in drawing workshops and face paintings, while enjoying great music, lots of balloons and sweets. Feel free to dress-up your child in his/her favorite cartoon character.

Sambata 27 aprilie, ScotRo va participa la turneul caritabil de fotbal organizat de Afriquetone, care isi doreste sa imbunatateasca relatiile dintre minoritatile etnice si comunitatea larga a Aberdeen-ului. Pentru cei interesati sa sustina echipa ScotRo, evenimentul va avea loc la Sports Village incepand cu ora 11.30 AM.

Duminica de Florii sunteti invitati la gratarul de peste organizat de Parohia Ortodoxa din Aberdeen cu sprijinul ScotRo. Gratarul va avea loc la Balmedie si va începe la ora 2.00 PM.

In data de 23.05.2012 Robert Totok a participat in calitatea de Vice-Presedinte ScotRo la Aberdeen Civic Forum in Aberdeen Town House unde a avut loc o dezbatere pe tema impactului  Welfare Reform Act 2012. Discutia a fost condusa de profesorul Paul Spicker, Aberdeen Business School, The Robert Gordon University. Discutia a avut, in general, un ton sombru, tema fiind reducerea bugetului pentru securitate sociala (benefits). Domnul profesor a subliniat faptul ca statisticile sunt exacerbate de catre guvern si ca se pune prea mult accentul pe ajutorul de somaj (care este un procent destul de redus din buget) si ca ar trebui sa se puna mai mult accent pe protectie sociala (housing benefits, disability benefits, pensions). A doua problema majora discutata este procesul de aplicatie online care este foarte inflexibil, alternativa fiind telefonul (cu plata) si faptul ca daca aplicatia este gresita, se aplica penalitati. Costul, complexitatea si penalitatile vor reduce foarte mult numarul aplicatilor, comenteaza forumul, fapt care va crea o problema majora in viitorul apropiat: cei care vor avea nevoie de ajutor social nu vor primi acest ajutor.
