La numai un an dupa inaugurarea parohiei romanesti din Glasgow, comunitatea ortodoxa romana din Scotia are inca un motiv de bucurie spirituala. Pe data de 16 ianuarie 2010 va fi inaugurata o noua parohie romaneasca in Scotia, de data aceasta in nordul tarii, in Aberdeen, eveniment la care va invitam cu deosebita placere. Alaturi de noi va fi prezent Inalt Prea Sfintitul Iosif, Mitropolit al Europei Occidentale si Meridionale. In seara zilei de 15 ianurie se va savarsi Vecernia Arhiereasca, ora 19.00 in Biserica Episcopala “St.John” din Aberdeen, Crown Terrace, AB11 6HE.
A doua zi, pe 16 ianuarie va fi oficiata Sfanta Liturghie Arhiereasca, ora 9.30 in Biserica Episcopala “St.Ninians” din Aberdeen, 696 King Street, AB24 2EW, urmata de o masa festiva cu mancaruri romanesti.
In functia de preot paroh va fi numit parintele Gabriel Hlade, care va raspunde necesitatilor spirituale ale romanilor aflati in nordul Scotiei. De mentionat faptul ca pana in prezent nordul Scotiei nu s-a bucurat de prezenta vreunui ierarh ortodox roman.
Va asteptam cu drag si nerabdare la acest eveniment de nespusa bucurie duhovniceasca.

A year after the inauguration of the Romanian Orthodox Parish “The Presentation of our Lord” in Glasgow, the Romanian community in Scotland has yet another reason for joy. On the 16th of January 2010 you are warmly invited to the inauguration of a new Romanian Orthodox Parish this time in the North of Scotland, in Aberdeen. We will be blessed with the presence of His Holiness Joseph, Metropolitan of Western and Southern Europe. It is the first time in recent history that an Orthodox Archbishop visits the North of Scotland.
Fr Rev Gabriel Hlade will be appointed the parish priest and will cover the spiritual needs of the Orthodox in the North of Scotland.
In the evening of 15th of January, the Vespers will be celebrated at 19.00 in St John Scottish Episcopal Church, Crown Terrace, AB11 6HE, Aberdeen. Next day, the 16th of January, the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated from 9.30 in St Ninians Scottish Episcopal Church, 696 King Street, AB24 2EW, followed by a festive lunch with traditional Romanian food.
